New Worlds at Harewood
This year we are delighted to announce our involvement in a Yorkshire based programme entitled ‘New Worlds’, in which we join together with the National Media Museum, the National Centre for Early Music (NCEM), Bradford Council, Museums and Galleries, the Northern School of Contemporary Dance, and Alchemy.
The New Worlds programme will explore frontiers of the imagination, the intertwining of arts, science and technology, and the shaping of identities through the movement of people across continents into and out of Yorkshire.
The project will continue throughout the lead-up to the 2012 Olympics and forms part of the 2012 Cultural Olympiad programme.
New Worlds is part of imove, Yorkshire’s signature cultural programme, funded by the Legacy Trust UK, Yorkshire Forward and Arts Council England and has a target budget of £3.5m of which £2.7m is already secured.
