Saturday 25 Sep 2010 - Sunday 31 Oct 2010
10.30am - 4.00pm
In the Terrace Gallery
Eleanor Moreton's paintings draw on historical events, international fables, memories, literature and found images.
This solo exhibition features recent paintings that interrogate the past, both historically - that of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and England in the 19th and early 20th Centuries - and personally.
The resulting portraits reveal isolated individuals, comi-tragic oppressors, androgynous repressed queens, and murdered lovers.
Eleanor Moreton lives and works in London and is represented by Ceri Hand Gallery, Liverpool.
Entrance to this event is included with a day ticket
