Closer to Home: 250 years of Artists views of Harewood

To end the season on a celebratory note, we are showing images of Harewood created over the 250 years since the foundation stone was laid. This anniversary has provided the overarching theme to the year’s exhibitions and events, so it seems fitting to conclude by taking a look at how some of the major names in British art have pictured this House.
Harewood has been captured in oils, watercolours and photographs by JMW Turner, Thomas Malton, Thomas Girtin, Roger Fenton, John Varley and John Piper among others.
This exhibition will be taking place in the Watercolour Rooms on the State Floor.
Admission to this exibition is included in the Freedom Ticket and is free to Harewood Cardholders.
