Museums at Night: Experience Harewood in a Different Light

La Nuit des Musées was introduced by the French Culture Department in 2005 to succeed Printemps des Musées, and takes place on the Saturday nearest to International Museums Day (May 18).
This event is supported by the Council of Europe and UNESCO. In 2009, more than 2,500 museums in 41 European countries took part.
Museums at Night will take place during the weekend of Friday-Sunday 14-16 May and the Europe-wide celebration will be on Saturday May 15.
This year Harewood will be taking part for the very first time.
Join us for an evening experience of sparkling chandeliers, twinkling lights and special interest tours and workshops.
See the House lit up at night with fabulous landscape and sunset views from the Terrace with Red kites flying. Enjoy a drink in the evening sun on the Terrace. Meals and light bites will be available alfresco in the Courtyard. Twilight Tours of the House and Gardens. Recorded Servants’ tales playing throughout Below Stairs. Live piano music in the Music Room. Music on the Terrace/in the Terrace Café.
