    Bookshop - Terrace Cottage

You may have noticed a building nestled in the trees near the Adventure playground at Harewood, this is Terrace Cottage. Previously not open to the public we are pleased to open the cottage up to visitors as the home of our Second Hand Bookshop.

Until 31st May this year, the Harewood Bookshop is conducting its own survey to find out what our visitors like to read and spread the word about the Bookshop.

Click here for details and to vote for your all-time favourite reads!

We have hardbacks and paperbacks, books for adults, books for children and a comfy area for you to kick back, relax, enjoy a cup of coffee and browse the books at you leisure. Our plan is to make Harewood more sustainable, and the bookshop will be the ultimate recycling facility...bring a book, buy a book, donate a book...and the cycle repeats.

Proceeds from the Bookshop will be put back into the educational aspect of Harewood with emphasis on events and activities to promote reading to the young and old.

The bookshop is open daily from 11.00am until 3.00pm

    Junior Borrower's Club

The Junior Borrower's Club is a small lending library allowing children of all ages to borrow books rather than to buy them. It is free to join for all Harewood Card Members on completion of a registration form. Visit the bookshop for further information.

    Calling all Book Worms!

The bookshop will be staffed and run entirely by volunteers! If you would like to volunteer take a look at our volunteering webpage or contact Sarah Irwin-Davis, Personnel Manager 0113 218 1039.
