Opposite the door is a coal bunker, a reminder of the domestic use of this area. Through the years this room has been used as a flat for various employees, including the Housekeeper.
During the post-war period this was a common room for the kitchen staff who worked along the corridor.
Today, the two rooms here are used to display objects relating to the life of HRH Princess Mary and include her wedding dress, some of her collection of exquisite fans and her restored pony trap.
