    Science school trips

Harewood House is able to offer a wide range of Science themed educational sessions. Our extensive grounds, gardens and Bird Garden are all valuable on site resources, providing a rich environment in which to explore science themes and nature.

Our most popular science sessions support the topics of habitats, life processes and living things, and are based around the Bird Garden or our collection of tropical invertebrates.

Our science based Big Bug sessions provide your class with the opportunity to meet, learn about and safely handle our collection of tropical invertebrates.

Bird Garden sessions can focus on a wide variety of science topics and allow your class to come face to face with a variety of bird species from around the world. These sessions provide opportunities to find out more about beaks, feet and feathers, and how different bird species are adapted to the habitats in which they live.

Suitable for all ages these sessions can be individually tailor-made to support your current science study programmes or simply provide a fun, interactive and informative learning experience.

New sessions are being developed so please contact us if you can’t find what you require.

Download the brochure or call us on 0113 218 1043 to discuss your science focussed session at Harewood.
