The Harewood Explored project is a 5 year project funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund which aims to create opportunities for Harewood to engage with visitors, particularly community groups, who may not normally have a chance to access a heritage resource such as Harewood or it’s collections.
The Harewood Explored project has funding available to support and work in partnership with specific community groups in the Yorkshire region by providing funding to help with transport to and from Harewood, artists and experts to work with groups, an outreach service, talks and lectures on aspects of the collections and funding for events and educational sessions.
Harewood House Trust is committed to developing new audiences, and considers working with communities as vital to its on-going role as a vibrant heritage resource for all. Harewood is lucky enough to have a whole range of materials in the collection that reflects the diversity of the community surrounding it and is committed to making the collections as accessible as possible.
If you would like to know more about our work with community groups please contact Anna Marshall, Harewood’s Audience Development Manager or access our latest Harewood Explorer Community Newsletter to see some of the projects and activities we’ve been involved with.
