The Harewood House Trust is an educational charitable trust that relies entirely on its own endeavours to meet its funding needs. Volunteers make a significant contribution in enabling the Trust to deliver a first class service to its visitors.

What does the role involve?
Meeting and greeting our visitors. Helping them get more enjoyment out of their visit by chatting to them about Harewood House, its contents and past occupants both above and below stairs, and by giving information on other areas of Harewood and forthcoming events.
Acting as a physical security presence, ensuring the safety of Visitors, the House and its contents.
Assisting with the evacuation of visitors in case of an emergency.
You do not need to have extensive knowledge of Harewood to begin with as this will be learned over time, but you should thoroughly enjoy meeting and engaging with people and be prepared for a commitment of once a week throughout the Season. You will be required to arrive at 11.45am ready for a 12pm start on the days you are in, and will finish when the House closes at 3pm.
