The Servants' Hall was where the servants would gather and eat their meals. They sat on benches at long tables, men at one table, women at the other. The hooks around the walls were probably coat hooks for footmen's uniforms. There is also an elaborate Victorian bell system here - a reminder that the servants were never far from their master's or mistress’s command.
Children will enjoy dressing up as a servant or trying to lift the coalscuttle. In the passageway between the Old kitchen and the Servants' Hall an interactive display gives you the chance to ‘talk’ to an 18th-century steward - or even to Lord Harewood himself!
The Servants' Hall is available for private parties, drinks receptions, themed evenings and corporate functions.
