Weddings and Civil Ceremonies
Whether for your civil ceremony, or your wedding breakfast, or both, your wedding is is an incredibly special day, and one which you will treasure. You will want a location which is memorable, beautiful, romantic – yet that guests can easily get to, and in which you can all relax and feel comfortable, enjoying this special day to the full.
Harewood is blessed with two wonderful venues onsite that fit the bill – each distinctive and in its own way, unique.
The Courtyard provides a beautiful setting for a wedding celebration – its dramatic architecture creating an ideal enclosed ‘theatre’ for your special day: the historic colonnade and enclosed courtyard provide an intimate backdrop, and a wonderful location for a summer buffet or barbecue; the Lakeside Terrace a stunning space for drinks; the Suites each distinctive in character for the wedding breakfast and party.
The Vistas marquee in its lakeside location is an idyllic venue for a wedding party – in the heart of Harewood’s wonderful landscape. Vistas lives up to its name, with breathtaking views up to the House and across the lake. As flexible a space as you can possibly require, the marquee can be transformed into limitless configurations to suit your needs, and expanded to take as many guests as you wish.
But which ever you choose, remember that you can incorporate different elements of Harewood into your own tailor-made day. You and your guests will arrive up the sweeping drive, building up anticipation; you can take your wedding photographs in the wonderful gardens creating stunning visual memories; and any younger guests can of course enjoy the Adventure Playground (if their outfits and parents allow!)
