The Geopods@Harewood

A new addition to all the great things there are for children to see and do, climb and touch at Harewood – part of our continuing commitment to add value for our visitors and members. 

A New Interactive Indoor Experience!

The three Geopods transform into a magical interactive area for children of all ages. There are plenty of things for little hands to touch and play with, lights, videos and experiences to be had. In filmpod there will be regular showing of short, fun and educational movies and a monthly star show relating to the planets around us.

In the other pod children can get hands on with all sorts of fun activities. These exhibits will be changing on a regular basis so there will always be something new to see and experience.

In the centre pod you can meet some of Harewood's new characters. All the characters relate to activities in the Geopods or allow young visitors to connect with Harewood in some way, through art or games, reading or just using your imagination. Here you can see Bookworm, bug and more characters to be discovered, you can come and meet them all...

The new Toyshop

The centre Geopod is also home to our new toyshop. The range of toys found here is focused around education, learning and having fun - there are lots of really interesting gifts and ideas for those special birthdays.

The Geopods@Harewood are included in the price of a Grounds Ticket and/or a Harewood membership. They will also be a great teaching resource for teachers bringing school trips, as they open up a world of nature and science and can be used to further complement Harewood’s outdoor educational resources.

Planetarium Star Shows

Monthly star shows take you on a tour of the galaxy and introduce to the British night sky.  Entry to the Star Shows is included with Harewood membership or a day ticket. Entry is limited to 25 places er showinf on a first come first serve basis. Shows are on at 11.00am, 12.00 midday, 1.00pm, 2.00pm and 3.00pm. Opening hours

The Geopods will be open from 10am daily with last entry at 5pm, closing at 5.30pm. From time to time one of the Geopods may be being used for a school trip or pop-up-party and will be unavailbale to the public for a couple of hours.
