Owned by David and Diane Lascelles, the Harewood Estate manages the countryside surrounding Harewood House. It has a nationally recognised conservation programme with particular emphasis on the restoration of historic buildings ranging from Home Farm to Harewood Castle, as well as the protection and development of wildlife habitats and the maintenance of Listed parkland.

The Harewood Estate is responsible for managing approximately 4000 acres of West Yorkshire on which a multitude of activities take place.

The Estate manages a wide variety of property from commercial and residential through to agricultural. Many of these properties are Listed and are within an important Conservation Area.

The farming operation is leased to the Harewood Farming Company Limited which farms 700 acres of arable land under a shared farming agreement. It also manages the grass parks.

Our forestry consultants are Till Hill Forestry and they advise on all matters of arboriculture and deal with Woodland Grant Scheme applications.

The Game Department looks after all matters relating to game conservation, predator control, and habitat management for wildlife and fish.
